A very high protein meal with less than 1g net carbs – make sure you get an adequate amount of fats from other sources!
- Leg of turkey, with skin and bone, 2
- Fresh rosemary, 1 cup
- Ground thyme, 1 tsp
- Garlic, 2 cloves
- Olive oil, 100ml
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C (350 degrees F).
In a small bowl, mix the garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, pepper, and 3/4 of the olive oil until it achieves a paste-like consistency.
Carefully lift the skin off the legs and coat the inside with the paste.
In a non-stick frying pan, heat the remaining oil and sear the turkey legs over high heat until they're evenly brown, for about 10 minutes.
Place the turkey legs onto an oven tray and roast for 30 - 40 minutes, depending how thick the legs are.
